The mission of the IAFCCP  Delegate Program is to provide local representation in every State to communicate the needs and current events between the IAFCCP and our members. The IAFCCP is committed to supporting volunteer representation to harbor professional development.

The IAFCCP Delegate Program was established in 2002 with a vision from Ron Walter who believed the IAFCCP needed a better method of communicating information throughout our membership. The program continued to grow throughout the U.S. and has evolved to include increased representation with the grass roots effort of the Government and Legislative Affairs Committee.

Do you wish to become involved within the IAFCCP? We are continually looking for motivated, independent people who thrive on becoming involved to help shape the future of Critical Care Paramedics. If you are an IAFCCP member in good standing and interested in becoming a Delegate:

• Write a letter of intent of why you want to represent your State as a Delegate.

• Be sure to include skills and attributes that you would bring to the Delegate Program.

• Enclose a current resume.

• Finally, please send all requests and documents as attachments to the current IAFCCP Delegate Program Coordinator, Kelly Edwards.

• The Program Coordinator and Board Members will review each candidate submission and inform the candidate of the Coordinator and Board's decision.  Candidates will be officially inducted at annual conferences such as CCTMC and AMTC.

• Completion of all required documents will be processed and final notification made through electronic notification and U.S. Mail. The Delegate will receive a welcome packet of information including roles and responsibilities of the Delegate.
  
  

The IAFCCP Delegate is responsible for assisting the IAFCCP, communicating information between our organization and membership for a term of 2 to 4 years and may be extended based upon the needs of the Association. The Delegate shall be responsible to communicate via discussion board and monthly phone conferences to update the IAFCCP board and GLAC of current events. The Delegate shall develop and cultivate professional relationships with state/region officials and leaders within the critical care industry. The Delegate shall be able to provide articles for the IAFCCP and GLAC news publications, be eligible to serve on Special Interest Groups and Committees assigned by the Board and work with local IAFCCP members to develop Chapters should the interest present itself.
