Government Affairs
EMS and Critical Care Transport landscapes are evolving. These changes will be for better or for worse, but they are changes that can be influenced by an active and engaged membership.
The
IAFCCP Government Relations Committee provides advocacy and support by
focusing on critical issues that affect the paramedic profession
worldwide. We keep a constant watch of medical transport issues and
pending or recently defeated bills on paramedic advocacy issues.

Advocacy
The
vision of the IAFCCP Delegate Program is to develop local
representation into Chapters that can fund and direct the future
of paramedics in the Critical Care Environment. Through the Delegates,
Chapters and GLAC we plan to create a continuity of care through the
expanded scope of practice supported by educational development
throughout the country. The IAFCCP’s blueprint for a new EMS governing
body in every region will assist in the development of continuity of
care. By creating continuity in EMS, we build unity and this ultimately
affects the professional development of Paramedics.
